Has Anyone received new details from Newark (N.America) since recent announcement?

I'm just being curious if anyone who ordered from Newark in North America has gotten the recently announced ship date for their order yet?

 

I know that last Friday (the day of the announcement) there were many people from the EU (lots from the UK) saying that they got emails with their ship dates from May to June.  According to the Element14 announcement on the RPF site, all 110,000 orders were supposed to get a ship date over the days following the annoucement.  Obviously they started sending messages in the EU.

 

Has anyone else in N.A. or the rest of the non-EU world gotten an update?  My order status still shows back-ordered and I ordered from Newark on Launch Day (29 Feb).

  • I'm in Canada and ordered March 1st.

     

    I had a address change since I moved, I e-mailed and asked them to update my address, which they said they did, but on the internet order history it still reports old address... I don't know if this has anyhting to do with anything on my side...

     

    Anyways, I'm still showing a August delivery date, and have NOT received a delivery confirmation e-mail. So I'm in the same boat as you... I hope that when mine does ship, it actually goes to the address it's supposed to, lol image

  • I'm also in Canada and I ordered the morning of Feb29th.

     

    I've heard absolutely nothing from Newark/Element14 since placing my order.  My order date has bounced like everyone elses with all the delays and continues to show an August ship date.

     

    It seems everyone else is getting feedback and updated ship dates except Canadians. 

     

    I'm frustrated and disappointed with the complete lack of feedback regarding all the delays.  This really isn't acceptable IMHO.

    I ordered the afternoon (12:05pm) of Feb. 29th. At first I got a confirmation saying May 10th delivery - then I received the August what-ever mess. I've called a couple of times and have done the live chat. . . thinking that I should be up for delivery. I'm told it shouldn't be long but I cannot get any kind of confirmation. Have not heard from either USA or GB. Frustrating. Have had my SD card loaded with Debian squeeze, just waiting on the mail delivery. . .now I'm thinking I should be in the next batch, who knows. . . I don't think they are very coordinated in Raspberry land. If I didn't find the entire thing so interesting I'd cancel. We just need to hang in!

    I am in the US. I ordered April 1st and still show a August 16, 2012 delivery.

  • Just got email update from Newark/element14.  The email says that

    -------------------------------

    "your Raspberry Pi will be delivered in an upcoming shipment beginning the week of June 18th". We will have your firm delivery date, after manufacturer confirmations are made, on Newark.com

    The delivery date reflected in your order history on www.newark.com will not update until stock is received in our warehouses."

    my order date was : Mar 01 2012

    order confirmation no : 1773xx

     

    So assuming they get their stock in time (which looks like a certainty), and ship my RPi during the June 18th week, I should get it by June 30.  Sounds like they are trying hard to hit the June end date image

    You need to click on the "PO Number" to get your "Expected Ship Date", otherwise all you will see is "back-ordered".  I did notice that this does not work or is very slow for me sometimes in the Windows 9 Browser, so I use Firefox to get the date.  My ship date has been August for some time, but read below why that date has not changed.

     

    2) However, I just received an email from Newark Element14 a couple of minutes ago.  I ordered directly from them on the launch date as well, and I am also located am located in North America (USA to be exact):

     

    We're excited to inform you that your Raspberry Pi will be delivered in an upcoming shipment beginning the week of June 18th. We will have your firm delivery date, after manufacturer confirmations are made, on Newark.com. If you don't have all the accessories you need for your Raspberry Pi, please take advantage of this 15% off coupon on your next purchase from Newark.com.

    Received the same e-mail at 4:55PM eastern (3 hours ago).  I ordered it on Feb 29.  I'm in the USA.

    Pjc123,

       Thanks for the pointers but I've been all over my order page including following the PO Number link. It's always been blank in the Ship Date field. Even now with the recent message, still blank though I recognize they aren't updating this till units arrive.

    I've just received the same notice.. week of June 18th. 15% discount on accessories. My original order confirmation was 677XX. August dates have not changed - reason finally explained. . . "not updated". Think I'll just sit back and chill now  image)
