OVA file? RaspberryPi-Development-VM-v0.8.ova

Hi,

 

I've just downloaded the RaspberryPi Development VM and discovered its a ova file.

 

Can someone tell me how to use it?  I'm used to using VMware ESXi but have never come across this file extension.
