Can anybody tell me why it is called Raspberry Pi ?

The "Pi" is said to be short for "Python", and of course is a well-known
irrational number. The "Raspberry" is said to be along the lines of other
fruit-named computers, including Apple, Tangerine, Apricot, Orange,
Blackberry.

Thanks for the answer I was hoping that someone would confirm that it had something to do with Python as I am trying to learn it.
I also thought that Raspberry was like Blackberry and Apple but didn't know about Tangerine, Apricot.
Have you got a Pi yet?
