undelivered RPi's?

e14 Contributor
e14 Contributor over 14 years ago

No, not the ones ordered on launch day, these were

ordered back in December.

It seems that 400 RPi's, that would be 8 boxes full, of the

first batch, build week 1208, are undelivered.

They are the ones intended for the QtOnPi project.

I checked Ryan's tracker map, but it is no help in locating them.

I remember reading a bit about this, I think someone posted on the Raspi forums and as usual the mods jumped to the defence of the Foundation, until they QTonPi people started producing e-mails to Liz and others directly questioning what was going on...

Doesn't seem a great way to treat 400 developers. Surely the foundation can't pass this one off on Farnell & RS ?

deliveries to the QtonPi folks have finally started

    http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/qtonpi/2012-July/000617.html

so we have people who have waited the longest getting

deliveries on the same day as those who have waited the least.

    Because it's the usual nonsense.

It's difficult to believe there is no one to blame but to user/developers as the Foundation(tm) is doing.

If there is evidence thats its the foundations fault they should fess up and make everybody happy well somewhat happy since they were delivered late.  Not excepting the blame just makes people even more mad.  just my thought.

It looks like the QtonPi deliveries in Europe are finally being made.

How has it taken this long ?
