Still waiting for delivery date?

e14 Contributor
e14 Contributor over 14 years ago

Hi,

I have ordered in early april and the only thing I got so far is an ORP number (ORP019443). So I am still waiting for an expected delivery date? Can anybody provide a contact (email etc.) where I can get more information about the delivery state?

Thanks,

Franz

    Dear customer,

We are sending you this message to update you on delivery of your Raspberry Pi.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances causing a delay in the supply chain, we can't send your order just yet, but it will be despatched the week commencing 02/07/2012. You will receive a confirmation email prior to your Raspberry Pi being shipped.

We know that you have already been supremely patient, but please bear with us for a little while longer. We are sure that the wait will have been worth it once you can experience the limitless computing potential and enjoyment the Raspberry Pi offers.

If you have any further questions, please visit our FAQ page on element14 for more information.

    Promises, promises?!

I do hope I get to add a few bits and bobs to my order (already "confirmed" by supplying billing information) or I will be in the bush without power, SD-card etc.

Oh by the way: RS confirmed three weeks later but has already delivered!

Can't wait to have two and drive my co-worker nuts cause he's been waiting as well and has not yet recieved his "update" message !

    Cheers!

I just emailed the "contact us"..

I really hope that the delivery home to Sweden will work really good, as alot of mails seems to fail nowadays...

But I've got an backup plan.. I'm going to use my Rpi in coop with my Arduino's to control and supervise my apartment, with the positioning of the Rpi hidden behind the TV... But as a Backup plan.. I think that I need ALOT of extra ducktape to attach my ASROCK ION 330HT behind my TV for now image The plan was to hide all of the electronics behind the wallmounted TV..

Hihi. I personally think they mailed "too many" of those "your pi will be coming in the first week of july" Emails and that you ordered early march and are going to get it real soon now.

Where are you? From your name I'm guessing Belgium. In that case I expect your 'pi to arrive today with UPS.

I'm indeed from Belgium. My order was placed 30 March.

It would be realy nice if it already arrived today, although I hope my wife is home when they come to deliver it because it won't fit in our letterbox. It's to bad ther wasn't any tracking information in the e-mail.

In the meanwhile they've changed the packaging: The new packaging fits through the mailbox!

Received my Raspberry Pi yesterday, the package of the Pi fits the letterbox perfectly. But because of the t-shirt I got with it was still to big, and the postman just stuffed it into my letterbox. Luckely there was no visible damage to the Pi, although I didn't had any time to test it.
