I'm in Canada as well. I received mine on 31 May having ordered at 8:54am on 29 Feb.
Mine came by Purolator, next day service. I was confused for a while as Newark showed Credit Review for about half a day, even though the card was perfect and they processed it without any change. Newark told me they would investigate, but after all the problems and delays, I expect nothing.
The total price was as listed of the RPi.org site when Newark gave their pricing update in March. My original cost of $37.84 was reduced to $35.00, then they added the $12.00 shipping (which I guess is good for next day service, but expensive since US customers get the same for $5.00), and then they added the tax (for Stephen Harper).
So far No additional fees, duties, or anything else. I'll confirm this in a week or two, as I've had parcels delivered by UPS and FedEx before and received brokerage fee bills in the mail weeks later.
