Thanks to all for your excellent technical help. I am using bigger power supply that put a full 5 volts on the board and that cleared the kernel panic problem. However, I type in pi for username and then I type suse for password and it does nothing. Just sits there.
Do I need another password or something? I am using keyboard from my pc. Thanks Jimmy
