Help with programming

chiversj

Would it be possible to get help with my learning to program the R pi, one on one, over the telephone?

My plan is to learn Python.

Thanks Jimmy

    Hello Jimmy,

I think this would be pretty difficult to be honest, and probably not free.

I have done a lot of technical support type work over the phone in my past, and that is difficult enough, teaching a programming language over the phone would be doubly so.

There is a huge wealth of material available on the web for learning Python that you can use at your own pace, learning as you have the time.

Additionally, the only real way to learn programming is to actually do it, rather than having someone tell you what to do. Unless you get to that point where a light bulb comes on over your head and you 'get it' then you are only just really learning by rote.

Have a look here as a starter: http://www.python.org/about/gettingstarted/
