A lot of people have complained that when trying to run python
programs using Geany on Debian, you get an error that xterm
cannot be found.

Apparently the new beta debian wheezy "solves" this by packaging
IDLE instead of geany. But various youtube tutorials are based on
geany, and installing geany yourself in wheezy apparently still has
the problem.
Is there going to be a collection of packages that educators can
depending on having available and working, so tutorials don't
become obsolete every few months?
