Element14's most recent blog entry:
http://www.element14.com/community/groups/raspberry-pi/blog/2012/04/27/delivery-update--27th-april
claims that all 110,000 customers who ordered before 18 April will have their RPi
delivered by the end of June. That date has now slipped by about 2 weeks, so perhaps
around 90,000 have actually been delivered, assuming a current rate of 10K/week.
RS produced a chart on 18 June:
http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8786
projecting 51,500 shipped by 1 July, if I understand correctly and
they are still on schedule.
Combining these numbers results in an estimated 141,500 units shipped.
But on twitter we read:
https://twitter.com/Raspberry_Pi/status/219928503355842560
"Somewhere between a quarter and half a million. ..."
I assume there isn't a third distributor accounting for the
difference in the figures. Am I missing something?
