Can not place order after notification

Former Member
Former Member over 13 years ago

Received notification that I could place an order from pre-order list on July 3rd, but every time I try the link, I get message,

We know you have already registered for this great new technology, unfortunately we are currently experiencing a huge number of requests and are temporarily unable to take your order.

Please try the link in your email again later, we still have your place in line

Anyone else having this problem? When can I expect to actually place my order?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I've been having this problem too with the Chrome browser.  I just tried it with IE8 and it worked fine.

Either they fixed it, there is a problem with Chrome, or the browser was caching something.

    Good Luck

    Lisa...

I seem to have the same issue, and have for the last week.  I was excited when I saw you say it was a chrome issue, but I tried IE and Firefox to no avail...

I think orders are done - I myself actually had a Raspberry Pi in my cart for days now, I was luckily able to order it today, supposed to ship August 16! Pretty lucky, cause if you google Raspberry Pi Newark page, it isn't available anymore

I got the original email on 7/3 and have had no luck until to day in placing an order.

I have 3 browsers installed.  Chrome, FireFox, and IE8.  I added the link to my chrome shortcut bar and have been trying it daily.  Just for grins, I coppied the link and tried it in IE today and it worked.  I did clear my cache today to solve a different issue, so that may have been what caused it to work but I don't recall which browser I did that in.

Wish I knew for certain why it suddenly worked.  I believe that I tried all three browsers the day I got the email with no luck.

    Best wishes,

    Lisa...

I hope they're not done considering they supposedly are holding my place despite the fact that I have not been able to place my order... I have tried several times a day since the 5th to order it... I dunno, I just hope I don't have to wait another few months extra to get it

So what is the resolution? How do I place my order? I get the same "unfortunately we are currently experiencing a huge number of requests" message no matter what brower I use.

Sorry, saw this yesterday in the car.... So I bypassed the notification and made an order with element14 despite the 0 quantity (which I found humorous that it went through..) and a few days later ^^ I saw this reply from custom service

So order and I guess if they have it they will check it against your email or something? I dunno, it should be here Monday so I am happy enough now.

Thank you! I feel silly for not trying this in the first place, but I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Pi will be here in two weeks image
