Order went through, email received, money deducted but Raspberry Pi not delivered!!!

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me their experience?

 

I've ordered my pi, receive email with code to order it, follow steps, pay with credit card account, money was taken from my account, received delivery confirmation email but still waiting for my Rapsberry Pi to arrive ....

 

Confirmation email says:

    "Deliveries to mainland Europe are expected to take between 3 to 5 working days"

    "Non delivery or any delivery discrepancy must be reported,

         in writing, to Farnell within 3 days from receipt of goods

         otherwise no claim can be entertained for loss in transit ..." .

 

I send email explaining the curent situation of my order, but still not answer ... Is this normal?

 

By the way, Im from Spain.

    I had a GREAT experience with Element14, I was one of the sleepless souls on Feb 29 trying to find how to place an order from the US, another suffering geek sent a tweet at some moment with the right part number to use, hours later I was able to place my order, and actually I placed it for two units.

     

    I had obviously to wait in line for the first one like everybody else, but Element 14 honored my original order and as soon more boards became available I recevied the second one.

     

    I've done business with Newark/Element14 for years and I've been always pleased with their quality of service.

    My experience was worst than horrible to the point I cancelled my order when I was forced to make a bank transfer to "unlock" my order (MONTHS before delivery) and I'm really interested to know how is it possible that they are accepting credit card orders now and I have not been notified as I was promised to.

     

    It's interesting also to see someone from help customer trying to help now when they leave people like me helpless for months.

    En su momento hablé hasta con el director regional de esta gente "tan profesional". Si te sirve de consuelo el despropósito es generalizado y parece claro que no tenían claro desde un principio una estrategia adecuada y definida al cambio del "tipo de negocio" que suponía el compromiso de distribución de la Raspberry Pi.

     

    Luego después está lo de siempre, la dejadez y picaresca española que tanto asco nos da a los que tenemos que sufrirla y padecerla por la sola desgracia de vivir en España.

     

    Para mi que se han metido en algo para lo que no tienen capacidad y hacen el ridículo de forma constante. Ignoran los mensajes que les mandas de soporte. Te tratan con malos modales por teléfono (mis únicas dos llamadas telefónicas a ventas en España). Al final lo que parece que van buscando es que la gente haga cancelaciones de pagos por tarjeta en masa. Pero como "somos tontos" y la gente no se queja de la forma adecuada atacando a la cartera... pues no hacen nada para solucionar sus problemas organizativos.

     

    La imagen que están dejando es francamente lamentable, pero seguro que obtienen buenos beneficios por que no esán haciendo nada por hacer las cosas con un mínimo de decencia profesional desde mi punto de vista.

     

    Estoy esperando hasta último momento para relatar mi experciencia completa: desde la compra hasta la recepción y los meses de despropósitos y absurdos que esta gente ha tenido en todos y cada uno de los pasos que han dado desde el fatídico momento en que decidí que iba adquirir una a través de ellos.

     

    La gente de RS han tenido también sus contras, pero al menos llevan ya un mes de ventaja (ya me entregaron una y eso que se pidió más tarde cuando descubrí que Farnell-Element14 no estaba interesada en venderme el producto si no adelantaba el pago meses antes de que si quiera existiese físicamente).

    Hi all,

    I am also waiting for Rapspi but I do not care. The last message from Farnell says: "

    Dear customer,

    We can now confirm that your Raspberry Pi will be dispatched the week commencing 16/07/2012.

    We are aiming to fulfil your order earlier wherever possible and you will receive a confirmation email prior to your Raspberry Pi being shipped."
