    LOL.  Well I can't say I'm surprised.

In the exchange of Personal Messages I had with scep, he was completely unwilling to enter rational discussion about the topic at hand (I was trying to argue in favour of allowing people to edit their posts permanently as on this Element 14 forum and pretty much all other forums).  Instead, with every message he found some irrelevant personal reason to avoid addressing the topic, just like Liz, and after a couple of rounds said it was not up for discussion and he was terminating the PMs with me.

Some people just won't engage in a reasoned exchange of views, it's simply not in their makeup.

Now that you mention it, I'd like to really thank Element14 for keeping this space open, uncensored, unfiltered and unblocked. Even when we may express some criticism or negavtive comments or vent some frustration, we don't see any minions on the defensive trying to bully people, calling they names, etc.

I guess Element14 is taking a lot of heat, but on the other side you see some responses from RPF providing helpless answers and throwing the crap to the distributors. I don't know much about RS, never liked them much as a distributor and the DesignSpark website really sucks.

    Once again, thanks Element14.

Here, here!  Big kudos to Element 14.

They seem to understand communities, and the need to let issues work themselves out through open discussion.

It's also the engineering way to analyse problems and suggest improvements.  Hiding issues has never improved anything.  And forcibly censoring discussion ... well that's just plain stupid, there are no other words for it.

    Morgaine.
