Still unable to Boot my RPi help please

Hi All

I have tried to boot my RPi but without much luck.

I used the win32diskimager to add an o/s to a 4 gig SD card I have tried both the archlinuxarm-13-06-2012 O/S and the 2012-07-15-wheezy-raspbian O/S.

these both gave the same result when i turned on the RPi with the SD card installed i get no video output either on the composite video output or the HDMI output.

I am using a HTC phone PSU charger rated at 5V 1 amp output.

Has anyone got any ideas.

Regards Richard

Do any of the Pi LEDs come on and if they do could you describe which ones and whether they flash or not?

    Hi Colin

When the RPi is powered up the Red /power LED is on all the time and the OK/ Green LED flashes 3 times then a very quick flash for a split second that is it. At no time is there any output on the display video or HDMI.

When I checked the image that was added to the SD card i can see the expected files etc.

    Regards Richard

It's looking more like it's RMA time.  The only other thing I'd try is if you know someone with a RasPi, try your SD card in the other RasPi and try the other SD card in your RasPi.  Otherwise consider that RMAs help the foundation and distributors improve things.

    Hi John

I think you are right RMA is looking like the way to go I don't like to give up but I don't see that there is much more i can test, I do know someone that has a booted RPi so i will see if i can use his as a test unit.

    Regards Richard
