Pi shipped few days after ordering

Hi,

I have just received an email to say that my Pi has shipped today, but i only ordered it on saturday with a lead time of 5 weeks.

If it has great, or is it just a mix up with the email system???

Interestingly, with element14 apparently having cleared their
backlog, RS is showing:
"Despatch expected in 16 week(s)"

Interestingly RS charge £4 to image an SD card for you...

£11.99 pre installed, or £7.79 if you want to download a free piece of software and spend 3 minutes imaging it yourself?

Surely they can't be selling many of those...? Anyone that needs to buy a pre-imaged SD card should be sent to the back of the queue...

Something just isn't right there. They quoted me 12 weeks on a 1st July order, now it's a month more ? You have to wonder how many people are cancelling RS orders when they know they can get one in a few days from farnell.

Follow the forums for a while. There are lots of people who could benefit from having a known working card.

Farnell finally seem to have pre-programmed cards available SAMSUNG - RASPBERRY-PI / PROG-4GB-SDCARD - MEMORY, SDCARD, RASPBERRY PI, 4GBSAMSUNG - RASPBERRY-PI / PROG-4GB-SDCARD - MEMORY, SDCARD, RASPBERRY PI, 4GB cheaper too
