Hi Joshua, I would think that you may have found a suitable touch screen for your pi, but for others still looking I use the Adafruit 2.8" Pitft. There is a choice between resistive (the one I bought), or capacitive screen, the latter being a bit smarter than the former in having a proper surround to the screen. Adafruit also provide a compiled kernel so you don't have the headache of setting it up. It displays a cut down version of the desktop on issuing startx after logging in,with a large raspberry and six icons; scratch, wolfram etc. It is just a case of plugging the screen into the back 26 pin header (B+) and booting the new kernel. The terminal output is shown, later than on the desktop, after the device drivers have loaded. Be aware that I believe you can't have hdmi at the same time as the touchscreen. I am still experimenting so haven't yet removed the plastic screen protector but it seems very responsive nevertheless. It is also difficult to use as a desktop replacement as the windows it displays are wider and longer than the screen. It is easy enough to scroll left and right but I have yet to find how to scroll down so sometimes the selection boxes are off the screen so are untouchable (sorry, couldn't resist :-). I hope this is of help

I just got one from eBay, on first impressions it works ok, comes with a CD with a pre prepared Raspbian on it that powers right up to the LCD (Once copied to a SD card) with full touch.
4” is quite small but it works ok and has the full UI on it just the same as an HDMI screen would have.
There is also a slight refresh delay (You notice the screen refreshing so it may not deal well with a movie for instance )
It is all connected via SPI I believe which would account for the slower than normal refresh
Here is a link to the folks I bought it from http://www.ebay.com/itm/261716745800?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649 <http://www.ebay.com/itm/261716745800?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT> &ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I did not expect too much when I ordered it but was actually pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get it up and running
