Hmmm, that brings to mind a rather topical issue.  Unfortunately Maplin Customer Services may be in for a DDoS-like blitz when Maplin customers discover that their Maplin-purchased Pi doesn't work with probably a large majority of Maplin's USB products.  That services counter is going to be red hot.

It wouldn't surprise me if RPF is finally paying attention to both the 1.8V and USB issues (about which they were in complete denial before) because Farnell and RS have finally had enough of this nonsense, called RPF in, and given them a verbal kicking to leave no doubt where matters stand.  Selling non-working devices is not the business that these companies expected to be in, and I doubt that they are happy.

With 3rd parties like Maplin starting to sell the boards, this will only get more painful for the Foundation.

    Morgaine.
