I've posted the same question on http://www.raspberrypi.org but suspect that it will fall into the abyss. This may actually be a more appropriate forum given that it's a request for components.
Perhaps someone could put together a kit with 3 replacement polyfuses and the additional suitable capacitor, to help alleviate the well known USB issues.
Typically, when the items are purchased, only packs of ten are available and there is a minimum postage charge. This is excessive for the typical hobbyist/user, who doesn't want/need the extraneous parts 'lying around'.
I'm sure a £5 (post inclusive) "upgrade kit" would sell well and be at a price level that would give a reasonable profit and/or contribution to the foundation charity.
I'd consider doing it myself but don't want to be saddled with a trader/business user moniker. Any takers?
Would Farnell/Element14 even consider putting together such a kit?
