New version of the Raspian image available

recantha
recantha over 12 years ago

A new, updated, image of Raspian, dated 16th August, is available from the Foundation's download page.http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads

There. I've now done more publicity than the Foundation did on the release of this new image.

It's likely the same kernel and firmware you get when you run Hexxeh rpi-update.

It contains the latest patches, mostly related to usb issues, and some patches related to the sound driver.

It should fix some of the usb issues like the "no periodic endpoint available" error, but the missing usb packets people notice when they have a low speed keyboard and mouse connected still exists. gsh (Gordon) posted around 8 august that he concluded it was caused by bad interrupt latency. Since then, he dissapeared from the official rpi forum. Maybe he's very busy fixing the issue, or he got banned for concern trolling?
