apt-get PowerPoint Viewer

How can I get a powerpoint viewer on linux Raspbian?

the command "sudo apt-get install pptviewer" does not seem to work and nor does openoffice.org.

Can someone please help me.

openoffice should open powerpoint, but sometimes has problems with font sizes etc. What version of openoffice, and is it a ppt or a pptx file ?

try LibreOffice ?

Sorry, no other options that I'm aware of.

If you were using linux on an x86 pc you'd have options of either Wine or Crossover office and using the native windows viewer.

I haven't looked closely at Raspbian, but if there's a PDF viewer and your powerpoint doesn't use too too many fancy features then perhaps converting it to PDF would work ?

Or try google docs ?

Google Doc does not work for my purpose.

I need a ppt viewer becasue I have linked stuff to the file and it will be constantly changing.

libreoffice and openoffice.org seem to have been ported now.

I am currently installing openoffice.org and will report back later (after the 330mb of stuff is installed)
