What do you think of the latest annoucement that Premier Farnell is working with Sony UK Technology Centre to builld Raspberry Pi in the UK?   Full press release.

    The press release says:

    > the site will be initially produce over 300,000 units for customers across the world

     

    In contrast, the RPi.org blog says:

    >The initial contract will see the Pencoed plant producing 30,000 Raspberry Pis a month

     

    Are these both correct?  300,000 at 30,000 per month, just coincidentally

    both round numbers starting with '3'. 

     

    30,000 per month would be about 1000 per calendar day,

    which compares to the 4000 per day that we have heard

    the China factory is producing.
