Banned... No good deed goes unpunished

I can't quite believe this. The Foundation has banned me from the Forum. No warning, no notification, just the ban.

 

I _think_ it's because I warned them about an article I'd read where the problems with delivery from RS weren't being addressed by either the Foundation or by RS themselves... And then daring to explain why I'd posted it on the Forum instead of PMing someone (Liz and Eben are in the States...).

I wouldn't mind if I'd been slating the Foundation or RS directly!

    Irony? Nah mate, just a bunch of whiners who got banned becuase they thought it was a good idea to critisise a charity, publically, on the charities own forum, whilst assuming they were right, and the charity was wrong. That's the charity that's sold half a million devices in 9 months. I'l leave you to make you own judgement on who's right or wrong, given the 35k people registered on the Raspberry Pi forum, and the 20 people complaining that the Foundation's got it all wrong here.

    Given the "quality" of some of these posts, I would be surprised if they didn't get banned. Most of the other Element 14 RPi threads also seem to be infected with some of these

    people and it has become really hard to find anything useful being said or done in them. Anyway, I just looked in to see what this thread was about and have decided that this is

    the last time I'll visit it and to just let the inmates run (ruin?) this asylum.

    Maybe it's because most Element 14 customers are engineers and used to buying electronic components and development stuff.

    Some of them also have a professional occupation in designing embedded electronics.

    Others have to deal with quality control and customer support.

    It's normal the way the foundation handles things enerves those people more than others not having a clue.

    Good luck on the other forums.
