LibreOffice Impress update links while slideshow running?

wallarug
wallarug over 13 years ago

I have Libre office installed on my RPi but I have a little problem.

I have project where I have to create a slide show that is linked to a points tally (in excel) and it must update the links when the file is changed.

I have done this successfully in powerpoint2010 using this macro; but I can't seem to do it in Impress (the autoupdate bit - Linking is ok).

Any ideas on how I can get auto updating during a slideshow?  Maybe a macro for LibreOffice (I can't find any, but someone must have one).

Is there an EXTENTION that will allow me to update links while the slideshow is running?

I'm not sure the answer, but this might be useful if you haven't seen: http://ask.libreoffice.org/questions/

I did some research and discovered this is not currently possible.  The Plugin for powerpoint is locked and only works for powerpoint.

Looks like the Raspberry Pi has let me down this time.  Maybe A solution will appear later in the year.  Keep your Eyes out
