Gertboard availability?

So... it appears my date has been bumped back again, now to December 12th. At this point, will my order just be converted into an order for the new assembled one?

I ordered August 20, 2012 (from newark.com, USA) and have seen the ship date move from October to November, December, now my ship date shows as February 2013?? I am trying to understand why some people who ordered their boards in August already received them. There is no communication from Newark about all this, which is a bit frustrating to put it midly.

I am in a similar situation.  I ordered from Newark Element 14 on 8/25/12 and have been watching the B/O status.  The date keeps marching further out.  Two weeks ago it said 12/12/12 was expected ship and now it is 02/13.  Will I be getting the new version?  Will it be a kit or assembled?  My order confirmation number is 103666.  I have an embedded control project on hold until I can get the I/O of the Gert board.

Quick update:

I received my GertBoard order today, and it is in fact the DIY kit version. The PCB says "11 March 2012", so I believe it is the original/first version.

Actually Michael, that date reads 11052012, or November 5th

*EDIT* I suppose if I actually looked at the board, I'd realize it was March 11th's design. My Element14 sticker shows 11052012 :S

I received mine on Monday. Maybe I'm going nuts, but I haven't seen assembly instructions. Is there any special changes in Rev 3, or can we use the instructions from Rev 1?

Now actually understanding these date codes, I'll assemble mine over the holidays. In college, my soldering professor was military certified in soldering, so I can't get lazy assembling it
