Estimated Delivery

Former Member
Former Member over 12 years ago

Does anyone have any up to date information on the expected shipping of the latest batch of Raspberry Pi's? I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and haven’t heard a peep. I emailed sales earlier today only to receive an automated reply. I’m unsure as to whether it will be followed up by a real person.

I know others have waited much longer than 3 weeks. The only reason I ask is that was (and still is) the stated delivery time on the website. I’m just excitedly impatient. image

I’m not expecting to be told it’s on its way but if it’s going to be another 3 weeks it would just be nice to have an update.

There should be lead times on the element14 site page for the raspberry pi.

    http://au.element14.com/raspberry-pi/raspbrry-modb-512m/sbc-raspberry-pi-model-b-512mb/dp/2191863

If that does not help you, it is best that you contact someone at the element14 customer service.

    Hi Fergus,

I guess i should have stated im in the UK. The lead time on the element14 site states 'delivery within 3 weeks'. This has been the case since I ordered 3 weeks ago...

As I say, I have contacted customer service for an update but only recieved an automated reply with no usefull information.

In case anyone else is interested I have just had a reply from my email to sales. Apparently my order is ready to ship and should be with me by the end of the week.

According to the Pi page on the eLinux wiki, the lead time as of 17 November 2012 is just 2 days, from both of the manufacturing partners.

Was there an announcement from RS about their aweful multiple-month lead time finally being slashed?  If eLinux's information is correct then that's a dramatic turnaround for RS.  I hope it's correct, but if not then it ought to be corrected on the wiki by someone with first-hand knowledge of RS delivery times.

2 days lead time is not correct for RS.   Their latest delivery table is here:

    http://uk.rs-online.com/web/generalDisplay.html?id=raspberrypi&file=questions#Delivery

For orders in the US from Allied, there is no similar delivery table, as noted here:

Manufacturing - We have not yet moved any manufacturing to the UK and continue to use our existing CEMs to manufacture revision 2 boards.

Has RS been using Farnell's silk-screen? or have they bought a job-lot of Farnell's Pis?

    Utterly surreal.

Pi is the phenomenon that never stops delivering.  You just couldn't make this stuff up.

    Morgaine.
