Wi-Fi integrated into SD card

Who ever heard or thought of such a thing? Well someone did and it is now available on the open market. We can forget about Wi-Fi daughter cards with one of these babies. Eye-Fi 4 GB Connect X2 SDHC Class 6 Wireless Flash Memory Card

I have seen these around for many years now. I just thought they were too expensive and not worth the time.

I am not sure if it would work with the Raspberry Pi though. Not much does.

Point taken, at the old price that was true, but what about the future? with falling prices on that tech.

I take it that having a RaspPi has not been a joy for you and some others, eh? What about the million plus copies of the Pi going to the 3rd World? Care for a job with the Peace Corp - Digital Training Legion?

I used to have a wi-fi SD card for my old PDA without wireless. I also had a Wireless CF card as well, sold both of them for the princely sum of £5 on ebay recently. Never even thought of using them on my Pi.

Tend to agree with Fergus though, not sure what the chances of getting them working. Mind you, bit late for me now ! :-)

Perhaps I could buy the SD one back !
