Hi,
I recently dissasembled this tower fan: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/mtw-16-silver-mini-tower-fan-new-9-787355 because i wanted to run it from some relays but the fan by default starts on the lowest speed and i wanted to run it on the highest speed when i open the case i found the component seen below and i think it could be a micro controller but i dont want to bypass anything without knowing what its job is ect. I wanted to look at the code on the controller to try and modify it. I have an arduino at home this i could connect the controller to maybe to edit?
Any help would be much appriciated
