There have been hints lately that some RPi development work, such as
the camera board and the USB driver, may have been delayed in part
because the Broadcom engineers that do the work have been busy with
other projects. Today JamesH dropped a hint that one of those other
projects may involve the BCM 28155, a dual core Cortex A9 at 1.2 GHz.
