Not sure right area for this but couldn't find where to post this in search.
My son has a Rpi starter kit model B from CPC in the UK with a 7 port powered D -link hub. Yesterday he inserted the supplied 4GB SD Card pre-loaded with the Debian Squeeze Linux and it left a spot on the card on both sides, as if it had melted. The card no longer reads. Where could the problem lie and could this be dangerous to continue use? Google threw up little to help.
