After putting the jumper across J7 the rectifier starts to get very hot quickly with no load on at all,only the raspberry pi ,which then does not function,the voltage drop is about 1.3 volts,it is a 1st version gertboard which i have just found on ebay.i have been soldering for 30 years so i think ive got some experience,
