Wi-PI

I just got my Raspberry PI and everything works great.  I am using the Raspbmc.  I can't get my Wi-Pi to work.  I am sure it is because I don't know what I am doing but I could really use some help.

    Hi Rodney,

    Welcome to the elment14 Community!

Sorry to hear about the WiPi problems but I am glad you got your RPi and got it up and running. Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable enough about these things. So what I will do is move this conversation over to the Raspberry Pi Group. I'm sure someone there will be able to help you out. Also below are some links to others that have add a problem getting the Raspberry Pi setup wirelessly.

I also found a wireless setup guide.

Sorry I couldn't help out more.

    Hello Rodney,

This link may be of help (http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=29036)

From what I can remember, you can add on the network manager from program add-ons and this is the easiest way to set wiresless up on RaspBmc, although you will need a wired connection first to be able to download the add on.

Let me know if the above doesn't help.

    Steve

Thanks for the help........I figured it out.  I did get a different wireless connection instead of the Wi-Pi and went through the network manager.  I had to ssh the network manager first to put a previous version on and then I could download the current version............worked great after that.

Just a question - does the Wi-Pi drivers exist on the Raspberry Pi..........I won't return it if is does and just get another Pi to add it too!
