I have a Rapsberry Pi 512MB Model B and a powered USB hub (that worked fine when I tested it with my model A boards back in 2012, not had time to test the model B yet). I have a project in mind for a portable device, for which I need some kind of battery power.
I'm thinking of either a Li-Ion unit or a bank of Ni-MH cells (like Eneloops), with a charger circuit that runs either from a 5V DC supply (from a USB hub PSU) or from a 12V DC supply (car). Of course, if only a 5V circuit is practical, I can use a cigarette-lighter 5V USB adapter.
Has anybody got any information about a readily available charger circuit, or maybe even a fully fledged battery and charger unit?
K.
