I just installed Raspbmc on my new Raspberry pi and noticed problems with the connection over wi-fi when I stream movies from my NAS. At the moment I have my Pi connected with the element 14 Wi-Pi dongle. While connected through ethernet raspbmc works smooth without any glitches. But when I have the Pi connected to the internet through the dongle movies starts buffering every ten seconds. Even streaming music is a problem with glitches every other minute. I've tried different protocols when accessing my media in order to make it better but I'm not noticing any difference. On raspbmc I've changed the system performance profile to "Fast" and still there are no changes.
My conclusion is that my problems have to do with the dongle rather than the pi, so I'm wondering if the problem can be fixed through certain settings or if the dongle simply isn't good enough or perhaps has technical error right from the box?
