Hi  Nucola Hello I have a raspberry pi  runing with xbmc and it work fine I us it to steam vidios to the box room on a small moniter using pugin net work it all work fine

but I have tryed using motion softwear on my raspberry pi but do not no how to change the confg file as shown sudo nano/etc/motion/motion.conf

can any one help me change file to webhost = on to off ect as in the paper its not working for me . steaming mpeg pictures with motion on line to other compurter.

  • Looking at the text above the issue is this line :

     

    sudo nano/etc/motion/motion.conf

     

    that should be

     

    (all on one line)

     

    sudo - which is a program that allows you to execute system administration commands as a normal user

     

    nano - which is a text editor

     

    /etc/motion/motion.conf

     

    which is a file named motion.conf which resides in the directory motion which resides in the directory /etc

     

    so add a space between nano and /etc  like

    sudo nano /etc/motion/motion.conf

    and you should be good to go
