Updating Raspberry Pi without connecting to the internet

Is it possible to put the needed updates on the SD card and then upgraded from there to have the camera work without connecting to the internet? Due to furniture arangements and the length of my cables I am unable to have my Pi hooked up to the router as well as the TV so having it plugged in in order to have the system updated is not possible so I'm wondering if there is a site or anything out there that will allow me to download the updates to my computer and then put them on the SD card and then install them from there. My computer does have a SD card reader so that isn't going to be an issue. Any help with my dilemma would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

Interesting post, not one I have an answer to but, I hope by responding I can generate some interest in some of the more talents minds that frequent this site.

You are looking for a way to update a the Pi software when the Pi doesn't have a network connection.

    Any Pi fascinates me.

Are there solutions that enable a person to support a mirror of the Pi repository? My thought is you build the mirror repository to source updates and occasionally you take it offline and move it to the isolated Pi's ethernet connection for a update slurp.
