For a while, using an HDMI to microhdmi adapter, I'd used my Pi with a motorola atrix lapdock, this worked fine. (I didn't have to change anything for it to work with this)
Recently however, I began a project which requires use of the yellow video out jack. Basically, the Pi is giving video feed to an old PSX LCD monitor that I've repurposed for my project. The LCD has no problem with accepting composite video feed, audio is flawless.
And the pi IS giving feed, however it appears to be in widescreen, causing bars at the top and bottom of the screen to appear, especially apparent in startx.
My question, and sorry if this problem has been shown before, and if this has been asked before: How do I force the Pi to display good and proper 640x480 screen resolution into the display to use it fullscreen?
And no, before anyone asks, it's not the display causing this problem. I've plugged the Pi straight into a TV to test the composite feed.
Thanks for your time and patience.
