Raspberry Pi - Time lapse

Hi everyone,

Here is a great way to create a simple tripod and housing for your new raspberry pi and camera.

http://www.rpie.co.uk/2013/06/23/the-2-raspberry-pi-tripod/

http://www.rpie.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/20130525_194958-Copy.jpg

The site also has many great tutorials on how to create time lapse videos and convert single frames into 25 fps video.

Hope it helps!

Very nice :-) I'm off to my nearest bargain stores to see if I can source similar components !

I've done a few time lapse videos and mine is current held in a helping hands clamp with the camera board now sporting Sugru bumpers for protection, this is a much more elegant idea.

    Thank you.

    Steve

The poundland link seems to be dead now, but if you can't find a similar tripod, these have been working well for me:

rpi camera boards are back in stock at uk.farnell.com this morning too image

talking about the Pi Cam, the guide on the E14 website is incorrect.

    http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1722614.pdf

Shouldn't it be updated so that the commands are as follows:

    pi@raspberrypi ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam –ifx negative –o negative_image.jpg

*raspicam does not work anymore (I know because I keep typing it image)

    to:

    pi@raspberrypi ~ $ raspistill –ifx negative –o negative_image.jpg

... and all the same for other little errors like that.

maybe ln -sf /opt/vc/bin/raspistill /opt/vc/bin/raspicam would offer some short term frustration relief image

I sent back the instruction sheet with three corrections on it.

I might need to send an email asking what happened to it.

Hi Wallarug - thanks for pointing that out - I've sent an email with your note to our Raspberry Pi team at Farnell to make the update in the documentation. image
