Hello to all,

I have to carry out a project that, by pressing a button switches the active me a webcam.

How can I do?

    For use as a switch (which is what Davide was asking for), the PiFace does function directly - There are a series of postings in the last few days which is a step-by-step tutorial (see here for the latest post).

     

    However, sometimes people have a very open-ended question (like not mentioning what webcam software needs to be activated, what software language, etc) so some questions get left unanswered, same for Arduino or any other product. I think if Davide had asked again (this post is a couple of months old), someone would have noticed and given some answer.

     

    I agree the documentation should really be on the University site as well as the e14 site, but the e14 site documentation on the PiFace is really rather good (see snippets below), it has example wiring diagrams and example code for performing two main tasks; input and output. Beyond that, learning a software language is not part of the PiFace documentation; there are lots of tutorials for Python for instance, on other sites.
