Ive read a couple discussions around the internet of people wanting to run N64 emulators on their Pi, but it is pretty universally decided that it can not handle the graphics processing. After looking aronund, I stumbled upon this device and it got me thinking. Could I somehow make a RasPi simulate the information that is stored on an N64 cartridge, and then use the N64 hardware itself to run the game? At that point, I could take my collection of games that I own, and put the ROMs on the SD card just like the Everdrive. Anyone have any opinions on this idea? I cant imagine that the 1996 technology could be that difficult to reproduce with the RasPi.
