The OSTEP Team has released a bunch of fedora 18 updates for Pidora 18. This is not all of them, but more and more updates are being built each day.

Any idea what these updates address?

These are updates that have been rebuilt from Fedora 18, so they address a number of different updates to all packages on the pidora 18 system.

So... just general usability of different packages?  Maybe some packages are available that weren't there before?

Exactly, some packages will be updated, there might also be some new packages that were not available before.

Gotcha, thanks for the update!  Now I have no idea if you're part of the fedora team or not, I'm assuming (gulp) that you're just a random user.  How is the new Pidora 18 stacking up against Raspbian?  Well that might be a little apples to oranges, how is it stacking up against itself?  Where do you think it is on the "ready for everyday use" scale?
