just ordered my 1st R PI

Hey everyone. I hope you all are having a great weekend.

Sorry if my lack of decorum is offensive to anyone. Just joined this group and ordered my 1sr Raspberry Pi ver2 a few days ago.

Until last week I didn't even know they exsisted. Hoping to work on it for weather readings using balloons and model rockets. So I know I may need a ton of help. Hopefully I can find some of that help here.

For battery operated applications you may be better off with the BBB.

Thank you sincerely for such a kind and quick reply. I will most certainly look into this. And as it may be,astronomy and telescopes are deep loves for me.

I dont know if this helps in anyway or is even relivent,but I have an original 1982 Commodore 64 in very good condition. With the newer Commodore 64x out now,is there any use for an old Commodore.
Or perhaps its something I can go into and make a modern computer of it myself. As I have built several desktops and repaired a few laptops.

Yes my Raspberry Pi model B arrived today. Wow its much more and much smaller then expected. I have a windows 7 computer. Would it be easier to buy a pre loaded sd card with noobs. Or would it be as easy to download noobs to a blank sd card with windows 7?
