breakout board for servos

Hi all,

Does antone know where I can find coprehensive information on how to connect and control a breakout board for controling several servos like the 16 channel board from adafruit?

Exacly like that thanks for the info Ill have a good look at it to learn all the kicks and tweeks of the board.

I got a 7 channel board not the 16 but its the same deal, thanks again.

My RPi does not recognize the board on the i2c ot shows no device is connected, cant find any info on how to fix this, Ive gone through the tutorial and done all it sais but it shows blank on the addresses.

Ive tried getting help on this page but so far no one seems interested on helping me I just get replyes that take me in circules and dont realy get me anywhere.

Im looking to connected via the SPI connection on the board but cant find any info on how to use that protocol just a couple of projects that use that connection but shed no light on the way it is used so im thinking on ditching the servo controlers and try making my own one that does not use the i2c or spi connection.

7 channels seems like a strange number.
Can you post a link to its datasheet, or point us to where you got it? I'd like to see what the manufacturer says about spi & i2c.

How have you physically connected it?

On i2c:What output do you get from sudo i2cdetect -y 0; sudo i2cdetect -y 1

Yeap, try that 30 times with no result and the driver zeros the servos on power on so I know its working, at least the servo control part.
