Chinese made raspberry pi not working... Going to destroy it. But how?

Hello,

I have had my Chinese made raspberry pi since early July and it has been malfunctioning since August, first, it shuts down then it displays all the lights but flickers the power light. I have tried multiple power cables and power supply's but nuthin'. So, raspberry pi that is made in china, you die now.

I am wondering how to destroy it. The best answer will push me to destroy it on NYE.

I am thinking of strapping it to a few Arial fireworks and sending it up to blow up but... its up to you guys

The power LED is very simple: it's just hooked up to +3.3V.  So if it's flickering and you've checked multiple power supplies and cables, it may be polyfuse F3 that's flaking out -- see the RasPi Troubleshooting Wiki.  Before throwing RasPi away, I'd check voltages with a multimeter.  If F3 is misbehaving, I'd just solder a wire shunt across it.

Of course, it could easily be something else like a failed component that's shorting out +3.3V.  If that's the case, I suggest the Bob Widlar treatment: This is not a blacksmith shop.

The power on the multimeter is doing the same as the LED.

Will it blend? That is the question.

Run 12 volts through it, and watch it smoke.

Take a torch to it and watch it burn.

Run it over with your car, and watch it flatten.

Build a barrel shaped case for it, then take it to Niagara Falls and let it go over the falls in a barrel.

Tie it to the back of your car and take a trip down the highway.

Give it to the Mythbusters and see what they can do with it.

Sacrifice it to a volcano god.

surely the most reliable way to destroy a raspberry pi is to drown it in custard ?
