I'm in dev of an spdif recorder with the wolfson audio card ans raspberry pi to use it with an Neumann DMI-2 interface

All works perctely, but I've one question : I there a way (with programming in c or else) to know or to check the input freq of the spdif inpit of the wolfson card ?
I'm mean if I provide an audio source from my RME Fireface 400, can the wolfson tell me if the freq from the RME is 44.1, 48 or else frequency.
It would allow me to set the correct frequency of my soft that record from spdif input.
