Rpi B+ and Wolfson : P5 missing

Hello you all,

I'm new to Rpi galaxy and already disappointed.. I intented to build a streaming broadcast box for our radio and discovered sadly that the Wolfson soundcard we finally targeted to buy, due to its fantastic capacities on such a small card (an usb external soundcard is always possible, but won't fit in the cigar box we've already tuned..) misses the P5 connector on the new B+.

Any idea why they've supressed it ?

What solutions do we have yet to reach the final soundbox ?

All kind of help and suggestions on new combination of hardware welcome..

  • I believe the pins are still there, but moved to the larger GPIO header.   The B+ and Wolfson are not physically compatible at this time. It might be possible to make an adapter board, but you're probably better off trying to locate a model B rev2 board. I believe they're still being made and seem to be avaliable from several sources.
