Nintendo DS screen as display for RPi

Hey all,

 

Recently I have been looking around for low-cost display options, and was wondering if anyone has been able to hack together some way to use a cheap Nintendo DS screen with a RasPi.

    According to the pinout, there is no frame buffer/controller as part of the display (it is a parallel RGB display) and therefore would need a fair amount of design work and circuitry to get it running with the RPI, and would likely need programmable logic experience.

    There are now some reasonable priced TFT screensreasonable priced TFT screens for the RPI, which have full instructions on how to use them. For that reason, probably better to go for those unless you are willing to expend quite a lot of time and effort to get the NDS screen functioning with the RPI.
