Hi guys,

Shall i connect raspberry pi to samsung smart TV via HDMI? My samsung smart LED tv is big tv i.e 55 inches. I'm afraid to connect my raspberry pi b+ model to my samsung smart LED tv. Will samsung smart LED tv produce high current in hdmi port? Will it damage the raspberry pi? My raspberry pi b+ power description is input voltage 5V DC and 600mA to 1800mA..

You should have no issues connecting your Raspberry Pi to your TV. The Raspberry Pi specifications state that the HDMI port uses 50mA, this is not dependent on the size of the display.

I have used mine on two smart TVs, one 46 inch the other 55 inch, no problems.
