My PIFACE - PIFACE CONTROL & DISPLAY - RPI, I/O BOARD WITH LCD DISPLAY no longer works since I did an apt-get dist-upgrade on my Pi model B. I get: root@piradio:~# python3 /usr/share/doc/python3-pifacecad/examples/sysinfo.py Traceback (most recent call last):   File "/usr/local/lib/python3.2/dist-packages/pifacecommon/interrupts.py", line 383, in bring_gpio_interrupt_into_userspace     with open(GPIO_INTERRUPT_DEVICE_VALUE): IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/sys/devices/virtual/gpio/gpio25/value' During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last):   File "/usr/share/doc/python3-pifacecad/examples/sysinfo.py", line 61, in     cad = pifacecad.PiFaceCAD()   File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/pifacecad/core.py", line 50, in __init__     self.init_board()   File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/pifacecad/core.py", line 87, in init_board     self.enable_interrupts()   File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/pifacecad/core.py", line 59, in enable_interrupts     self.gpio_interrupts_enable()   File "/usr/local/lib/python3.2/dist-packages/pifacecommon/interrupts.py", line 230, in gpio_interrupts_enable     bring_gpio_interrupt_into_userspace()   File "/usr/local/lib/python3.2/dist-packages/pifacecommon/interrupts.py", line 388, in bring_gpio_interrupt_into_userspace     export_file.write(str(GPIO_INTERRUPT_PIN)) IOError: [Errno 16] Device or resource busy Any ideas? On my Raspberry Pi B, my internet radio using PiFaceCaD stopped working following the update to the Raspberry Pi 2 kernel.

It appears that also with this recent kernel update, the way in which the kernel handles devices has changed with a device tree now being used.

I found this out here - Raspberry Pi • View topic - Breakage after rpi-update? Read this.

I have got my radio working by:

    • sudo raspi-config
    • 8 Advanced Options
    • A5 Device Tree - which I disabled
    • Reboot

My radio now works again image

Disabling the  A5 device tree re-enabled my piFace digital which had refused to be recognised following a raspbian dist-upgrade that I did to retain compatability having just done one for a pi2 install.

Thanks for the advice @Simon Gibbon

    Cheers Ian :-)
