Don't panic. It's my fault.
You might like to know what went wrong, in case you make the same mistake as me.
I plugged in each of my SDXC cards and none of them would boot up. I went to the website to check for a Pi2 image and there were only the main versions.
I think the answer is in the changes to memory which requires a different Raspi-config setting. I burnt the latest image to an SDXC card (Class 10) and it booted perfectly. When setting the Turbo mode there is a new setting for the Raspi 2 which sets a lower rate for the memory.
Booting was not really faster than for a B+. but Raspi-config runs at lightening speed. I installed all my favourite programs with apt-get (I love Geany for programming) and it was really fast compared to the B+. I used to put four or five programs on the same line and go off and make a cup of tea. There is just no time with the new Pi2.
The other news is that the desktop is completely redesigned with that horrible file manager icon replaced by the Redhat version. It all looks very professional whereas the earlier desktop was a bit 'Toys R Us'.
Browsing with Epiphany is a joy.
If you liked the B+, you'll love the Pi2 B.
