I just got a WiPi and i can't get it to connect to my wireless internet. I plugged it in and it recognizes the internet SSID. Then i try to add the psk to it and then i won't connect. Is there a step I am missing or what? Can somebody please help me out.

Thanks

Double check the password key is correct case. I have made this mistake. What tools are you using?

Besides the password value, also check that the Pi and your router are using the same cryptography protocol.  For example, my router is set up for only WPA2-PSK [CCMP/AES].  I could have enforced the weaker cryptography protocol WPA-PSK [TKIP/RC4] or allowed both.  I could also have allowed WEP (weaker yet) or none at all (total exposure).  In short, all of the wireless client devices in my house must use WPA2-PSK when connecting to my router.

I noticed when I ran the wpa_gui utility the first time, it offered a choice of protocols: CCMP or TKIP.  Therefore, I chose CCMP.  This was immediately fruitful.

So, make sure that your router and your Pi agree on the cryptographic protocol if you have not already done so.

I am working with a the B+ and i just loaded the new Raspian Debian Wheezy 2015-02-16. My router is set up for WPA2-PSK so I did choose CCMP. Still the same problem. It says 4-Way Handshake (station) the it keeps scanning. It recognizes the network just won’t connect. Am I missing something here or doing something wrong?

I had the very same issue.  WPA2 CCMP  and the psk would not connect.  I tried several times...  then I removed the network, and tried one last time... this time it took and has connected since.  I must have tried 7 or 8 times...

There is an issue, but I didn't get it figured out 'till it started working.  Very frustrating.  I think it has something to do with whether you have tried TKIP 'first' or not.   I did.

If any of you are still having issues with Wifi authentication and you believe that there is no protocol mis-match, SSID matches, and the password is correct, then see the discussion at the following link:

    http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-wireless-networking-41/wpa-4-way-handshake-failed-843394/

    Does that help?
